Ph.D. degree in human biology, Diploma in applied mathematics, twenty years experience in scientific design, analysis, and data mining of clinical studies in arrhythmology, ten years experience in radiobiological research, experience in epidemiological research. Currently, Dr. Berkowitsch has a position as a research scientist at the Kerckhoff Heart Center in Bad Nauheim, Germany. Doctor Alexander Berkowitsch was graduated from the Saint-Petersburg Marine Technical University (Russia) in 1982 with a major in applied mathematics. He started his research work at the Institute of Oncology, at the Department of Radiotherapy in Saint Petersburg (Russia). Later he worked at the Institute for Neurosurgery (Saint Petersburg, Russia), specializing in mathematical research of EEG. Further, he obtained his Ph.D. in the analysis of intracardiac signals, registered during ventricular fibrillation in medical department of the University of Giessen (Germany). For the last 25 years, he works in the field of research and optimization of the therapy of atrial fibrillation at the Kerckhoff Heart Center in Bad Nauheim Germany. Since April 2019 he has also position as a clinical data scientist at the university clinic Frankfurt.
