Biography: Evangelos Koumentakos is a Greek national who has lived in Italy and Poland and studied international law and international relations. He currently lives with his family in Belgium, Brussels, where for the past four and a half years he has worked as an senior policy adviser for European Farmers and Agro-cooperatives. His areas of responsibility were climate change, sustainability, soil, waste, emissions, and air quality, and played a key role in a number of concrete policy initiatives, which are intricately linked to climate and environment, such as the National Emissions Ceiling, Common Agricultural Policy, Emission Trading System, Land Use Land Use Change and Forestry, etc. In addition, he participated in different policy discussions and international fora such the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conferences Of Parties, the Sustainable Development Goals EU Platform, etc. Evangelos can speak and write in French, English, Italian, Polish and Greek and he is a convinced European and supporter of activism.
