Sarah Crawford received a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry from Princeton University in 1982 and a PhD Degree from the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1987. She has been affiliated with Southern Connecticut State University for over 20 years and is currently the Full Professor in the Department of Biology where she teaches Genetics and Medical Genetics. She is the Director for Cancer Biology Research Laboratory and Autism Research Laboratory. In 2013, she was awarded a patent by the US Patent Office for novel cancer treatment for brain cancer, glioblastoma.

DR. ALAIN L. FYMAT is a medical-physical scientist and an educator. He is the current President/ CEO and Institute Professor at the International Institute of Medicine & Science with a previous appointment as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and Professor at the Weil Institute of Critical Care Medicine, California, U.S.A. He was formerly Professor of Radiology, Radiological Sciences, Radiation Oncology, Critical Care Medicine, and Physics at several U.S. and European Universities. Earlier, he was Deputy Director (Western Region) of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (Office of Research Oversight). At the Loma Linda Veterans Affairs Medical Center, he was Scientific Director of Radiology, Director of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Center and, for a time, Acting Chair of Radiology. Previously, he was Director of the Division of Biomedical and Biobehavioral Research at the University of California at Los Angeles/Drew University of Medicine and Science. He was also Scientific Advisor to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, National Research Council, for its postdoctoral programs tenable at the California Institute of Technology and Member of the Advisory Group for Research & Development, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He is Health Advisor to the American Heart & Stroke Association, Coachella Valley Division, California. He is a frequent Keynote Speaker and Organizing Committee member at several international scientific/medical conferences. He has lectured extensively in the U.S.A, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He has published in excess of 525 scholarly scientific publications and books. He is also Editor-in-Chief, Honorable Editor or Editor of numerous medical/scientific Journals to which he regularly contributes. He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences and the European Union Academy of Sciences, a Board member of several institutions, and a reviewer for the prestigious UNESCO Newton Prize, United Kingdom National Commission for UNESCO

Alessandro Maria Morelli investigated on the enzyme Glucose-6-P-dehydrogenase and on it’s molecular mechanism of senescence, on the phototransducion molecular events in photoreceptor cells of vertebrate retina and, more general, on bioenergetics topic specifically linked to neurofisiology. He has discovered the protein FX, a NADP dependent enzyme, catalizing synthesis of GDP-L-fucose. He has been working on the effects of electromagnetic fields of extremely low frequency on the activity of enzymes involved in phototransduction in retinal cells of vertebrates. Moreover, he has put in evidence the reversible effects of electromagnetic fields on lipid-linked enzymes such as acetylcholinesterase of retinal synaptosomes. Recently, with Isabella Panfoli, Silvia Ravera, Daniela Calzia, has discovered the brain myelin energetic function and the ATP extramitochondrial synthesis operating in it, involving new paradigms for Neurobiology, with application in the study of Multiple Sclerosis and other neurodegenerative deseases.

Prof. Dr. Alireza Heidari, Ph.D., D.Sc. is a Full Distinguished Professor and Academic Tenure of Chemistry and also Enrico Fermi Distinguished Chair in Molecular Spectroscopy at California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA. He has got his Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees from California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA

Zhi-Cheng Xiao received his Doctor of natural science degree from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich. He was also trained in Harbin Medical University, University of Science and Technology in China, and Beijing Medical University as a medical student and MSc and PhD candidate. He was a postdoctoral fellow of University of California, Irvine, University of Southern California, University of Rochester in USA, McGill University in Canada, and University Hamburg in Germany. He joined Singapore General Hospital in 2000 as a principal investigator, IMCB, Singapore in 2004, and Hong Kong University in 2008 as an Associate Professor. He joined GSK in 2009 as a Director of Innovative Research and currently working as a full Professor in Monash University. He published 103 articles, 5 chapters in books and has 8 patents.  

Prof. Ching-Kuan Liu, MD, PhD was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1956. He graduated from the Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) School of Medicine with honors such as being the commencement speaker on commencement ceremony and receiving the “Medal of Four Characters” in 1982. He completed his residency training in Neurology at KMU hospital. Subsequently, he received his master and PhD degrees from Graduate Institute of Medicine at KMU, where he was a distinguished graduate. He completed the Neurobehavior Fellowship Program and was a Clinical Instructor at Reed Neurological Institute of UCLA from 1988 to 1990. After returning to Taiwan, he became the Director of the Graduate Institute of Behavioral Sciences of KMU, the Chairman of the Department of Neurology of KMU & Hospital , the Dean of InfoTech of KMU, the Vice-Superintendent of the KMU Hospital, and the Superintendent of Kaohsiung Municipal Hsia-Kang Hospital. He just finished two 3-year terms as President of Kaohsiung Medical University. He earned the “Paragon of Taiwanese Medical Doctors Award” from the Taiwan Medical Association in 2015.
