Prof. Vladimir N. Anisimov is currently Editor-in-Chief of the journal Advances in Gerontology, and serves as an Editorial Board Member of many international journals. He worked as head of the Department of Carcinogenesis and Oncogerontology, N.N. Petrov National Medical Research Center of Oncology, St Petersburg, Russian Federation & President of the Gerontology Society at Russian Academy of Science, 2nd European Congress on Biogerontology, VI European Congress of IAGG. Prof. Anisimov has received research grant awards from the Russian Science Foundation, Russian Foundation for Basic Research, U.S. National Institute of Health, Max Plank Institute for Demographic Research, IAGG European Region Award for Advances in Gerontology and Geriatrics ,etc. He has so far authored more 500 peer-reviewed publications and his work has appeared in a number of top-class journals including Nature Rev. He immigrated to the USA in 1965 and specialized in grain storage technology and obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas. After working as a post-doctoral fellow at Texas A&M University and the University of Minnesota, he joined the department of Pharmacology as an NIH fellow to get training in toxicology. He has been with the University of Minnesota Medical School for over 40 years. He is a naturalized US citizen and a tenured professor in the department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology. He also has faculty appointments in Anaesthesiology, Lillehei Heart Institute, and Biomedical Engineering Institute. He is an author or co-author of over 300 publications in the field of interest (thrombosis and stroke). In the past, he has consulted various medical device development companies in the Twin Cities including 3M, Medtronic Inc, St Jude Medical, Medical CV Inc, Vascular Solutions, APP Tech, Endocardial Solutions, PlaCor Inc., Medical Innovations Inc, Hypertension Diagnostics Inc. and Boston Scientific on problems related to biocompatibility, thrombosis, and stroke.
Udaya M. Kabadi, M.D. FACP, FRCP(C), FACE is a graduate of Seth G.S. Medical College, the University of Bombay in Bombay, India. He completed his internal medicine residency at KEM Hospital Parel in Bombay and also a medicine residency at Jewish Memorial Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York. He also completed a fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at VA Medical Center and Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York. Dr. Kabadi is board certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and metabolism and geriatric medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology. He has been a Chief Editor, Associate Editor and member of Editorial Boards of several medical journals. Dr. Kabadi is currently an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, Iowa City as well as Des Moines University, Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Kabadi has over 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has presentations to his credit, at regional, national, and international arenas. He has been selected as ‘ Teacher of the Yearâ€ââ€ΕΎÂ¢ many times by students, residents, and fellows in training.
