Title: Why We Need Storytelling and Behavioral Economics In- And Out of- a Pandemic

Biography:

Hon. H.E. Sir. Dr. Raphael Louis, (Global Healthcare Reform Expert), is the Founder, Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Federal Association for the Advancement of Visible Minorities (FAAVM), whereas a NFP Corporation including activities such as the FAAVM Socio Economic Development Council (SEDC), which plays a vital portion in the overall mission realization of the organization. He is also Founder/Leader of the National Coalition Party of Canada (NCPC) and believes that most Canadians who are in the slightest degree politically active are inclined to hold one of the two chief political positions common in this country, what we call conservatism or liberalism, thus politically, Canadians are highly divided. Raphael political vision when it comes to issues of finance, immigration, public health, national security, diplomacy, human rights, international trade, foreign direct investment (FDI) and environmental protection, is that government must represent Canadian interests first.

Biography:

Dr. Leon G. Leanse is currently appointed as a research fellow at Harvard Medical School working within the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a molecular microbiologist by training, with an MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a PhD in molecular microbiology from Imperial College London. Dr. Leanse’s research is current is currently focused on synergistic light-antimicrobial interactions for the elimination of multidrug resistant localized infections.

Biography:

International Public Health Specialist with more than twelve years of experience in humanitarian affairs associated with Maternal, New born and Child Health (MNCH), Research, Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Health System Strengthening, Quality Assurance and Capacity Building, with teaching/mentoring experience for public health students, staff and volunteers. He worked for Doctors with Africa – CUAMM Lake state, South Sudan as Technical Project Manager where he was responsible for providing leadership and overall guidance in project planning, implementation and monitoring/evaluation including direct technical support; (training and mentoring) to staff, towards achieving effective participatory and sustainable implementation, of primary and secondary health care system at all levels. He presently works Health Support Organaization – THESO as Country Program Director, South Sudan.

Dr. Nebiyu has been involved in many public health field works and operational researches. He has research publications on various medical and public health issues to his credit. He is known for commitment to excellence that is evident through all aspects of his work. He is innovative, demonstrates respect for others, passionate about his work and has a strong sense of accountability. His contributions have helped dramatically improve the reproductive health, child health, Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), surveillance, prevention and treatment of Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), health promotion, nutrition therapy program (as funded by USAID, HPF, WFP, UNICEF, Japan Plat fourm and Italian Cooperation funds) including evaluation system in South Sudan.

Dorkina Carmell Myrick

Title: Human : Lifestyle diseases and their remedies

Biography:

Dr. Dorkina Carmell Myrick is an accomplished leader, physician, scientist, policymaker, writer, and future attorney at the Boston University School of Law with work experience in the governments of the United States (judicial, legislative, and executive branches) and the United Kingdom.

Dr. Myrick worked as a judicial extern at the United States District Court of the District of Massachusetts for the Honorable William G. Young. Immediately prior to this, Dr. Myrick worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable O. Rogeriee Thompson at the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals.

While at the University of Oxford, Dr. Myrick worked as a Global Health Policy Consultant for Dame Sally Davies, Chief Medical Officer of England, at the Department of Health in the United Kingdom. While there, Dr. Myrick formulated recommendations to combat antimicrobial resistance for submission to the United Nations General Assembly Meeting on antimicrobial resistance in September 2016.

Dr. Myrick worked in the United States Senate as a Brookings Institution Congressional Fellow for Senator Patty Murray on the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs and as a Senior Health Policy Advisor for Senator Bill Nelson on the Senate Special Committee on Aging. She also worked as a health staffer in the United States House of Representatives. In addition, Dr. Myrick worked on political campaigns for Senators Edward Markey and Cory Booker.

Dr. Myrick worked at the National Institutes of Health during the administrations of President George W. Bush and President Barack H. Obama, where she received a 10-year National Cancer Institute Director's Award for her service. Dr. Myrick managed and provided program oversight for over $252 million in National Institutes of Health research grants in basic science, clinical, and translational research housed at medical centers and academic research institutions nation-wide.

Dr. Myrick earned M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Brown University School of Medicine as the first African-American to complete the M.D.-Ph.D. program. Dr. Myrick completed a medical residency in Pathology at the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health. She also holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oxford, a Certificate in Public Leadership from the Brookings Institution, and a Certificate in Legislative Studies from Georgetown University. Dr. Myrick received a B.S. in Biology from Prairie View A & M University. Dr. Myrick is interested in international issues at the intersection of medicine, research, innovation, law, and policy.

Biography:

Mr. Majid Tahir is working as Health Education & Risk Communication Officer by profession at National Institute of Health, Islamabad, Pakistan. Holds masters in social sciences and did Public Health Emergency Management Fellowship from CDC-ATL, United States. He has also been involved in public health emergency response activities to various outbreaks and public health issues in Pakistan. Recently engaged in COVID-19 response since January 2020. Developed National Risk Communication Plan for and its utilization in Public Health Emergency Operations Center.

Sladjana Pavic

Title: The National Diabetes Prevention Program

Biography:

Sladjana Pavic has been a specialist in infectious and tropical diseases and a master's degree in immunology since 2001. She has been employed at the Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases of Uzice General Hospital since 1995, and since 2009 has been the department head. It is the only infectious disease treatment unit in the county with over 300,000 residents. During her many years of work, she has gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with infectious diseases, as a ward doctor and as a consultant in other wards.

Sladjana Pavic is Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the Uzice Health Center, President of the Commission for Intrahospital Infections of Uzice General Hospital, Member of the Medicines Commission of Uzice General Hospital and member of the Uzice Health Center Council. She has participated in many domestic and international professional gatherings.

Biography:

Ricardo Bezerra Requião is Business Manager by profession and works at Roche for 5 years now. He holds a double degree in International Relations and Business Management, and a M.A. of International Relations, is author of two published books and a few articles on International Migration Theory and Migration Policies. Experienced in marketing and product lifecycle management, commercial strategy development and PMO, in companies within and outside the pharma industry. At Roche, previously as Manager for HCP Solutions, Ricardo was accountable for proposing and supporting the branding teams to deliver value, through differentiated solutions, to key stakeholders. Currently, is responsible for Management of Brand Strategies for Patients with COVID-19, Rheumatic Diseases and Gynaecological Cancers; in the Public and Private Markets. Biography:

Abdul Hameed is currently appointed as an Infection preventionist at CDC Foundation, recently completed master’s degree in public health from University of Massachusetts Lowell in May 2020. Before that he completed his Doctor of Physical therapy degree in 2017 from Dow University of health Sciences, Pakistan. Over two years' experience in the field of Healthcare, currently he is based in the Minnesota Department of Health, where he conducts infection control and response assessments with the facilities all over Minnesota. He writes facility reports and provide education to individuals and groups about risk, prevention, transmission, and control of COVID-19 and other diseases. He also reviews State, CDC, CMS guidelines and evidence-based practices and incorporate appropriate findings into routine practice.

Gamal M. Saied

Biography:

Dr. Gamal M. Saied received his MBBch with Honor in 1969 and Diploma in General Surgery in 1971 and his MD in general Surgery in 1977 from the Faculty of medicine Cairo University in Egypt. He was then indulged in multitudes of academic, administrative and scientific posts until occupying the position of the Head of Surgical Oncology Unit 27 B [Cairo University Hospitals] for continuous 4 years ending in August 2007. During this march he was decorated the Award of State in medical sciences in 1988 and the  Laureate of Excellence [First Class]  from the President of Egypt in 1995 .He is now a Member of the European Association for Cancer Research ASCO ( USA) , EACR and NESA (Europe)  . Prof. Saied is also a member of many scientific, academic and researches Assemblies affiliated to the Supreme Councils of Universities [Ministry of Higher Education] and the Ministry of Public Health & Population in Egypt.

Dr. Jimmy Kayastha graduated from Nova Southeastern University, Florida, where he completed his post-graduate Residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD I and II). He completed his General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital, Ohio, Oral Medicine Residency at Carolinas Medical Center, North Carolina and Glasgow Dental Hospital, United Kingdom. He then completed his surgical Fellowship from America’s second best hospital, The Cleveland Clinic and Orofacial Pain Fellowship from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, best known as the U.S. President’s Hospital.

Dr. Kayastha is board certified and has 18 years of experience in the U.S. He has served as the Director, AEGD Residency Program; U.S. NIDCR funded Post-Doctoral Research Scientist, Marshfield Clinic, Wisconsin; Adjunct Clinical Faculty, Case Western Reserve University and Miami Valley Hospital, Ohio. Hari Mohan Saxena

Dr. Hari Mohan Saxena earned a PhD degree in Immunology from the University of Nottingham, UK. He was a recipient of the prestigious Jawahar Lal Nehru Scholarship of the Nehru Trust, UK. Dr. Saxena recently retired as a Professor of Immunology from GADVASU, Ludhiana where he was also the Head of the Veterinary Microbiology Department earlier. He has served as the Director (Resident Instructions) cum Dean, Postgraduate Studies and Director of Veterinary Clinical Complex at Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna. He has also served as the Counsellor (Science & Technology) in the Embassy of India, Moscow (concurrently accredited to Ukraine and Belarus also). Dr. Saxena has been bestowed with the award of Fellow of Pearl Foundation for Education Excellence, Dr. S Radhakrishnan Lifetime Achievement National Award in teaching, Lifetime Education Excellence Award and Eminent Educationist Award. He was conferred National Excellence Award by Life Sciences Foundation, India, Lifetime Achievement Award in Veterinary Science by Venus International Foundation and International Distinguished Scientist Award by the World Research Council. He has obtained patents in USA, Europe, China, South Africa and India for his innovations in the diagnosis of infectious diseases.

Dr. Saxena is a Fellow of the World Innovation Foundation, UK, National Academy of Veterinary Sciences (India), Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology & Biotechnology (ISVIB), Indian Association of Applied Microbiologists, Society for Applied Biotechnology and Society for Scientific Development in Agriculture and Technology, respectively. He has won the F M Burnet Award, Scientist Award (twice), Mid-Career Scientist Award and Young Scientist Award of ISVIB. Dr. Saxena is a Senior Expert of the Asia Pacific CEO Association Worldwide and had been a Member of the Expert Panel on Vaccines of the European Society for Translational Medicine, a Member of the Steering Committee of the Science Advisory Board, USA and the President of the Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology & Biotechnology. He is a Member of Immunology Advisory Board of WebMedCentral (UK) and Immunology Editorial Board of WebMedCentral Plus, UK. He is the Editor of the Journal of Clinical Immunology and Immunopathology Research (published by Academic Journals, New York) and an Editorial Consultant of Indian Journal of Veterinary Research. He has served as a Review Editor of Frontiers in Immunology and Acta Scientific Microbiology. Dr. Saxena has done pioneering work in the diagnosis and therapy of Brucellosis and its non-invasive monitoring and assessment.
