Biography:

Dr. Hari Mohan Saxena earned a PhD degree in Immunology from the University of Nottingham, UK. He was a recipient of the prestigious Jawahar Lal Nehru Scholarship of the Nehru Trust, UK. Dr. Saxena recently retired as a Professor of Immunology from GADVASU, Ludhiana where he was also the Head of the Veterinary Microbiology Department earlier. He has served as the Director (Resident Instructions) cum Dean, Postgraduate Studies and Director of Veterinary Clinical Complex at Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna. He has also served as the Counsellor (Science & Technology) in the Embassy of India, Moscow (concurrently accredited to Ukraine and Belarus also). Dr. Saxena has been bestowed with the award of Fellow of Pearl Foundation for Education Excellence, Dr. S Radhakrishnan Lifetime Achievement National Award in teaching, Lifetime Education Excellence Award and Eminent Educationist Award. He was conferred National Excellence Award by Life Sciences Foundation, India, Lifetime Achievement Award in Veterinary Science by Venus International Foundation and International Distinguished Scientist Award by the World Research Council. He has obtained patents in USA, Europe, China, South Africa and India for his innovations in the diagnosis of infectious diseases.

Dr. Saxena is a Fellow of the World Innovation Foundation, UK, National Academy of Veterinary Sciences (India), Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology & Biotechnology (ISVIB), Indian Association of Applied Microbiologists, Society for Applied Biotechnology and Society for Scientific Development in Agriculture and Technology, respectively. He has won the F M Burnet Award, Scientist Award (twice), Mid-Career Scientist Award and Young Scientist Award of ISVIB. Dr. Saxena is a Senior Expert of the Asia Pacific CEO Association Worldwide and had been a Member of the Expert Panel on Vaccines of the European Society for Translational Medicine, a Member of the Steering Committee of the Science Advisory Board, USA and the President of the Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology & Biotechnology. He is a Member of Immunology Advisory Board of WebMedCentral (UK) and Immunology Editorial Board of WebMedCentral Plus, UK. He is the Editor of the Journal of Clinical Immunology and Immunopathology Research (published by Academic Journals, New York) and an Editorial Consultant of Indian Journal of Veterinary Research. He has served as a Review Editor of Frontiers in Immunology and Acta Scientific Microbiology. Dr. Saxena has done pioneering work in the diagnosis and therapy of Brucellosis and its non-invasive monitoring and assessment.
