Maria Weissenboeck
Dr. Maria Weissenböck is registered as psychologist, clinical and health psychologist and psychotherapist. After her studies of psychology and human biology she started working as psychologist in one of the largest hospitals for women in Austria The Semmelweis Frauenklinik.
There she developed a concept supporting women, couples during pregnancy, birth and postnatal time. In the course of time she augmented her experiences by studying client-centered psychotherapy (Carl Rogers), children-adolescent, family psychology, emergency psychology, psychotraumatology, traumafocused therapy, EMDR, EGO-state therapy, hypnotherapy and interventions in systemic family therapy. At the same time she started as lecturer at the university of applied sciences for midwives. Additionally she assisted several research at the women bureau of health in Vienna, and Boltzman Institute during which she published various papers. Moreover she is engaged as supervisor with people of different professions such as clinical staff, psychologists, teachers and many more. Practical workshops for social workers and nurses are completing and rounding off her professional life. Her field of attention, however, is working as psychotherapist in her own private practice. There she is working with children, mothers with their babies, adults and couples.
