Renewable Energy and Environmental Engineering

Jian Hua ZHU is a professor of Chemistry and works in Nanning University of China. He got a PhD degree in Chemistry in 1989 at the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Nanjing University (China). Dr. Zhu had been the Visiting Scholar in Auckland University (New Zealand) from 1987 to 1988, the Visiting Researcher from 1993 to 1995 in Hokkaido University and Ahime University (Japan). He worked in Nanjing University as Lecturer (1989-1992), Associate Professor (1992-1998) and Professor (1998-as yet). Dr. Zhu has published 227 papers, 39 reviews and 130 papers of symposium proceeding. His research involves zeolite, molecular sieves and relative porous materials, selective adsorption, harm-reducing of tobacco and environment protection.

Anna Dóra Sæþórsdóttir is a Professor in Tourism Studies at the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Iceland. Her main research interests are nature-based tourism, wilderness, tourism management and land-use conflicts between tourism and other sectors like for example the power production industry.

Jason is a visionary in the field of industry integration with blockchain systems, and he holds a BA in Economics and a BS in biological chemistry, both from the University of Virginia.

Arnaud Baëhr is an engineer specialized in energy and environment. He has been promoting renewable energies for the last 10 years, especially solar and wind, as he believes clean sources of energy must play a significant role to mitigate climate change and other environmental issues. His journey in developing renewable energies adoption is closely tied with Africa, having worked on projects in 20+ countries of the continent. He was also a speaker at a conference organized by the International Renewable Energy Agency on the development and financing of renewable projects in Indian Ocean islands.

NURTAJ VIDADILI is a lecturer and a researcher of renewable energy at Baku Engineering University. She received the B.A. degree in International Relations from the University of Qafqaz, Azerbaijan, and M.A. degree in Business, Law and Economics from the Aix-Marseille University in Marseille, France. She has 7 years of teaching and research experience in the energy field. Her current research interests include political economy, theology, renewable energy and environment. In addition, she was a visiting scholar for a month to the Pais del Vasco University in Bilbao, Spain with the scholarship of Backis, Erasmus Mundus program where she was lucky to lecture the intensive course of “Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development” for master students. Lastly, Nurtaj Vidadili was a co-author of an article “Transition to Renewable Energy and Sustainable Energy Development in Azerbaijan” in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews 80 (2017) 1153–1161, Received 1 October 2016; Received in revised form 5 April 2017; Accepted 20 May 2017, https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1364032117308043 Recently, she started to research and write an article in the theme of religion and ecology. Given her past history of commitment to excellence, she is confident that she will bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm along with a scientific point of view to the conference that she is going to participate with the given opportunity.

Timo Broeker (43) is an engineer for biotechnology and process technology. He holds a master degree and has been working for almost ten years as a researcher at the Institute of Food Technology North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. After researching within lignocellulose bioethanol, biorefinery concepts and valorization of brewers spent grain and other seidestreams, he specialized in biocatalytic methanation of renewable hydrogen and CO2 from fermentation. At the institute, he was engaged as member of the board of directors for more than five years. He also is engaged as deputy chairman of the supervisory board of the municipal utilities.

Dr Mohammad Akrami is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Exeter doing his project for the standalone solar-driven agricultural greenhouses in partnership with the country of Egypt. His primary interests include managing the renewable energies for sustainable development.

Dr Faran Ahmed is an Electrical Engineer by profession and heads the Faculty of Engineering at Hajvery University, Lahore, the metropolitan city of Pakistan. He holds a doctorate in Electrical Engineering, with specialization in wireless communication. He has a diverse experience encompassing public sector, industry and academia, spanning three decades of rich involvement in technology. His research interests include ICTs, renewable energy and technology management. He is also passionate about reading and writing, and indulging in outdoor sports.

I’m a professional in Electronic Engineering graduated from the Surcolombian University. Obtained my Mastery in Industrial Control Engineering at the University of Ibague. I’m currently a doctorate student of the University of the Orient. I am an active member of IEEE, with membership in IES (Industrial Electronic Society) and CSS (Control System Society), with a rigorous discipline of study, ethical-social responsibility, marked honesty and ability to develop my profession. of autonomous way, with amplitude of thought and capacity of leadership, of enterprise and of social protection. Founded in an integral scientific-technological formation, with solid physical-mathematical foundations, complemented by knowledge in the economic-administrative areas, with the capacity of analysis, synthesis, decision-making, great moral and ethical integrity. This training includes electrical science, circuits and systems, electronic devices and circuits, information theories, communications and control, as well as the management of specialized design programs like Codesys, Gracfet and Simulation such as Simulink, Matlab, Labview, Latex and Python. . I’m able to design and produce devices, circuits and electronic systems for use in production and service areas, such as telecommunications, computers, robotics, bioenergy and industrial automation. I stand out for my ability in research and appropriation, application and development of techniques and technologies for the design of electronic and communication systems, development of instrumentation systems, signaling, bioenergy and microelectronics.

Adil Raza was born in Pakistan. He graduated from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan in with M.Sc. degree in Materials Science. Adil now joined the doctoral program under the supervision of Prof. Honglie Shen at college of materials science and technology, Nanjing University of aeronautics and astronautics, China and will receive his PhD in 2020. His current research interests include the synthesis of Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) based photocatalysts for CO2 reduction to hydrocarbon fuels, CZTS based solar cells, CZTS batteries and super-capacitors.

Edita Tverijonaite is a PhD student in Tourism Studies at the University of Iceland. She received her BA degree in German Philology at Vilnius University, Lithuania in 2005. She finished Applied Studies in German in Tourism and Communication (MA) at the University of Iceland in 2014, and in 2017 she graduated in Environment and Natural Resources (MS) with the thesis “Effects of accessibility on visitor composition and impacts in protected areas” at the same university. After working at the Department of Geography and Tourism, Edita started her PhD studies at the University of Iceland in February 2019. Her PhD research focuses on the interrelationships of various types of renewable energy infrastructure and tourism in Icelandic natural areas.

Alcantaro Lemes Rodrigues is a system analyst by profession and works in the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He holds a DSc in Energy and currently he is a researcher at the Institute of Energy and Environment, University of São Paulo. Alcantaro has 22 years of public practices and seven years of private practices as a system analyst. He also works in investigations of energy uses in Brazil. He has presented an abstract on “Analysis of choices to the adoption of hourly pricing in the Brazilian electricity sector by the Ministry of Mines and Energy” at the 11th Energy Planning Brazilian Congress (XI CBPE), Brazil.

Raham nazavar was born in urmia iran in 1992 is master of since electrical engineer working as an engineer on azar battery company and interested electronics and renewable energy filds.

María Pablo-Romero obtained her degree in CC. Economics in 1990. She obtains the best academic record award. In the year 2000, she obtained the title of Doctor in Economics at this University. She is a Full Professor at the University (since 2018). In the field of research, it is the main resercher of the research group of Economic Theory and Political Economy and is a researcher of the Chair of the Economy of Energy and the Environment since its creation in 2011, being responsible for the area of Energy and economic development. Her interest areas are economic growth, energy and policy evaluation. She is the author / co-author of 39 scientific articles (JCR). Most of these articles are related to the issue of energy / economic growth. She has directed as IP the research project Keys to Decouple Growth and Emissions of Co2 in Spain of the State Plan 2013-2016 R + D + i Projects of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. She has also participated in several international research projects. It is worth highlighting her participation as a researcher in the project funded by the European Commission (Joint Research Center), in the EMSURE Project financed with FEDER funds and in the FONDECYT Regular project No. 1150025 financed by the Government of Chile. Linked to these projects has made stays at the University of Groningen (Netherlands), the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and the Autonomous University of Chile.
