Title: Laser assisted liposuction with 1470nm diode laser in face and body contouring

Abstract:

Various academic reports show superiority of the laser assisted liposuction over standard tumescent technique in skin tightening. This paper presents this technique as a body contouring but also as primarily rejuvenation procedure. : Patients with generalized or localized lipodistrophy and various degrees of skin laxity have been treated with laser assisted liposuction. Technology used was 1470nm diode laser. Setting were as follows: 12W and continuous wave for body procedures and 6W and discontinuous wave for facial procedures. Facial procedures were done also as lipolysis with no suction. Target for the 1470 nm laser wave length are water molecules. By adding Klein's solution in the subcutaneous layer and subdermal fatty tissue both fat dissolving and skin tightening effects are multiplied and the results are more evident. Postoperative garments were worn for 3 weeks in cases of body shaping and 1 week in cases of facial contouring.
