Title: The Prospect of TCM Medical & Wellness Tourism

Abstract:

As an emerging integrated industry, TCM Medical & Wellness Tourism is a new sector with bright prospect. The development of TCM Medical & Wellness Tourism offers a new alternative to the inheritance and development of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). At present, TCM Medical & Wellness Tourism is still at its primary stage, and its industrial value chain is forming and industrial boundaries are still in expansion. There are good development opportunities and broad market space. TCM proves effective in the fight against COVID-19.  The DUAL-CIRCLE development pattern provides an opportunity for the expansion of TCM Medical & Wellness Tourism. The presentation will give a snapshot to TCM Medical & Wellness Tourism and help audience to understand the new sector for further research.

Title: Microbiological Property Evaluation of Natural Essential Oils Used in Green Cosmetic Industry

Abstract:

This study was designed to investigate antimicrobial properties of natural essential oils including; citronella, cinnamon, palmarosa, niaouli, clove, lavender, bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, petitgrain, peppermint, tea tree and eucalyptus from different oil sources. Datas taken from the disk diffusion assay indicate that cinnamon, niaouli, lavender, petitgrain and the tea tree oils have the most intense antibacterial effects on related microorganisms at the concentration %100 (direct usage). Endpoints confirm results reported in the past studies including the MIC assays on the related natural oils. Overall, natural oils have been used safely for many decades on the cosmetic formulations and this experiment emphasizes one more time the importance of the natural oils usage in industry.

Biography:

She was born in 1971 in a village called Yenibedir in Luleburgaz. She won the High Schools exam that she took in the 5th grade, became the third ranked student in Kirklareli therefore got the right to study at Edirne Anatolian High School. In the university exam she took after high school, she preferred Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy to learn the secrets of the medicinal herbs which she grew up with her stories. She graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 1995 and went to London for master's degree in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology. During her graduate studies at the University of London King's College, she took courses in alternative therapy including aromatherapy and phytotherapy. Aromatherapy attracted her attention and she started to focus her studies in this field. Hülya Kayhan took lessons from the best professors of the field of aromatherapy and studied resources meticulously in different languages, reinforced her command of aromatherapy, took a step to offer essential oil formulas for the benefit of public health and decided to create her brand. After getting necessary approvals and permissions, she started to produce essential oils under the brand name “Art de Huile” that cure many diseases and complaints.
